2009 Toyota Matrix S, FWD, 5-Speed Manual, 2.4 L, 158hp. One owner and well-maintained over the past 12+ years. 242,000 miles, but with replacement engine that has 72,000 total miles on it now. Two accidents. The first had damage to the front and back (hit from behind and was pushed into car in front) was somewhere around 9 years ago. 2nd accident was 2+ years ago and was minor fender bender. All fully repaired.No dents or body issues. Only minor scratches and minor paint chips. Added features after sticker: 1) Jenson stereo and navigation system (0 value) with USB, Aux, DVD, etc. 2) Backup camera and backup warning system3) Roof rack4) Trailer hitch (can tow 1,500 pounds easily)5) Four new wheels a few years ago. One original wheel had cracked, so I just got a new full set. Saved 3 good wheels as spares. 2 of the extras are mounted with snow tires. This car is great in the snow with the snow tires. One is mounted with a new tire as a spare. Major Maintenance Updates:1) At 111,000 miles a used transmission with 14,000 on it was put in by Towne Toyota.2) At 230,000 a used engine with 61,000 miles and a new clutch were put in by Bargain Corner Engine Replacement3) In May, 2021 exhaust including resonator and muffler replaced with performance option (reportedly will increase HP slightly and it feels like it has).Items not working: 1) Air Conditioning. 2) 50% of the time the key fob button will not lock or unlock the driver’s door. The actuator could be replaced to fix it. But door has old-school key hole, so it has not been a big deal for me. 3) The ABS light will come on once in a while. The brakes fully work, but if the ABS light is on the ABS does not work The codes says it is the module. I got a used module kit and was going to just replace the module, but the screws on the car are rusted and I could not do the quick module swap and the full kit needs to be replaced which includes bleeding the lines and since it does not come on much, I decided to just wait and have not worried about it. I will include the used module kit. Car just was inspected at NJ MVC on July 16, 2021 and passed inspection.Kelly Blue Book with no AC is just over ,000 (This does not include the extra wheels and tires and replaced engine.)This car has been great to own. If you don't mind not having AC, this car will most certainly remain reliable for a long time to come. The only reason I am giving it up is because of the AC and after 12+ years I am ready for a new car. This is a real auction with a low reserve. Local pick up only. No shipping.
